About
My name is Michael Ranaldo. I live and work in the UK and I am currently employed as a security consultant at ProCheckUp. My main areas of focus are currently web applications and infrastructure. I spend a lot of time on Hack the Box under a pseudonym cause I'm mysterious like that.
I've been involved in pen-testing and consultancy since I left Sixth Form in 2014 and aside from a brief foray into software development, I've enjoyed it. In the mean time, I've picked up and (and in some cases discarded) CSTM, QSTM, OSCP, and CISSP. My career goal is to get enough certifications to create my own alphabet.
This blog is filled with my own notes, blogs I've written while working at various companies, and some random bits that doesn't really fit anywhere else. I enjoy doing random deep dives and binges into anything which piques my interest, so if you're expecting a consistent theme, I'm sorry.
If you want to see some poorly formulated thoughts and re-tweets, my twitter account is on Twitter (@michaeljranaldo).

Reading
I'm a big fan of reading, both fiction and non-fiction. I occasionally review books I've read. Have a look on the reading page. I'm happy to correct any mis-statement, lies, idle speculation, or whatever. Get in touch on Twitter if I've made any gross errors!
